 |
| Why do the majority of your clients
(companies and individuals) choose your firm? |
| |
Usually, a combination of factors compel someone
to work with us.
 |
Our experience allows us to relate extremely
well to specific issues individuals face |
 |
We have helped others succeed with similar
transitions and business challenges |
 |
We work closely with clients until the transition
is complete |
 |
Our executive coaching touches on many facets
of professional development and career management.
What we work on with the clients remains relevant
for many years |
|
|
| How long have the people on staff who
work one-on-one with clients been in the career transition
management and executive coaching field? |
| |
The coaching team at Matthew Ryan & Associates
has over 35 years of related experience.
Tony McKeon has been working one-on-one
with transitioning and coaching clients since
1986. Many clients re-engage the firm for some
form of coaching after securing new positions.
Robert Jordan Ross has been working with personal
profiling and assessment instruments with executives
in transition since 1984. Virtually all clients
benefit from his objective and candid reviews.
|
|
| How are your fees determined? |
| |
Our most common approach to setting
fees for managing the career transition process
from start to finish uses a percentage calculation
of the annualized income of our client. On occasion,
we also set project fees with special consideration
given to the financial situation of the client.
 |
The majority of our clients have fees paid
by their company. |
 |
Services supporting individual engagements
are virtually the same as those supporting
corporately sponsored clients, but with reduced
fees. |
 |
The fee for our work with executive coaching
clients is often set using a day rate. In
most cases, we determine specific objectives
and content of our meetings in advance. We
work together to accomplish as much as possible
in the shortest possible time. Measurable
expectations are set early. |
|
|
| What percentage of your business is
corporately sponsored? |
| |
Approximately 60% of our business is corporately
sponsored career transition management and executive
coaching. |
|
| Do you specialize in any particular
industry? |
| |
We do not. At any given time, our active clients
are holding or vying for mid and senior level management
positions in a wide range of industries. The majority
of our clients earn six figure income. |
|
| Are there people with whom you have
worked that may be contacted as references? |
| |
Absolutely. For years, this matter has been a
sticky one for most companies in our field. We strongly
recommend that anyone interested in professional
coaching check references. It is preferable to speak
with people with similar backgrounds and qualifications. |
|
| How can I learn more about outplacement,
career transition management, and executive coaching? |
| |
Today, a great deal of relevant
information can be obtained on the Internet. Kennedy
Information, Inc. provides detailed screening suggestions
for companies and individuals looking to hire consultants
and HR professionals. Kennedy Information publishes
the most comprehensive International Directory of
Outplacement and Career Transition Management Firms
in the world. Many of the dos and don'ts
one should have in mind are outlined in the first
section of this annual publication. |
|
| What are some of the tangible products
you produce when working with clients and are there measurable
milestones? |
| |
One of the important deliverables we present
to clients is a collection of personal marketing
materials. We prepare resumes and draft important
correspondence. This is done after we learn a
great deal about them and we know the expectations
of the people who will be reviewing what is written.
We prepare outlines/framework for important communication
strategies (written and dialog.)
All transitioning clients receive a 32-page binder
of propriety material that serves as a guide for
transitionng and career management. |
